Description

Clapton Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse situated on Clapton Road in Ston Easton. It has a smooth rendered exterior, a coped verge to the slate roof, and brick ridge stacks on ashlar bases at each end. The front of the farmhouse is symmetrical, with two storeys and an attic. It features three bays and 2- and 3-light stone-mullioned windows with stopped labels above. A central door opening has a stone architrave and a 20th-century door, topped with a triangular pediment supported by brackets. An attached dwelling at the rear is not of group value.
