Description

This is a farmhouse, likely dating to the 16th century, with a significant alteration in the 17th century and further later works. It is constructed of coursed rubble with some smooth render, and has a double-Roman tile roof and brick stacks. The building is in an L-shape, with two and a half storeys and a 2-bay front extending to a 1-bay side. It features 2-light and 3-light stone-mullioned windows with stopped labels. The right bay has an asymmetrical front-facing gable with a 2-light attic window. A central door opening has a 6-panelled door, with the top four panels glazed and a triangular pediment supported by brackets. A return on the right side echoes the design, and incorporates an oval-light window on the first floor set within a freestone surround, along with two further door openings. A fireplace on the first floor has a moulded freestone surround inscribed with the date "1586 W E".
