Description

Southay Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse located in Kingsbury Episcopi. It is constructed of ashlar and roughcast, with a coped verge detail and an asbestos slate roof. The building has three ashlar ridge stacks. It is a single-story farmhouse with an attic, originally featuring three bays. The farmhouse has 3- and 4-light stone mullioned windows with labels. Two windows are located on the first floor within gabled attic dormers, which have copings. Further windows are present, with the truncated remains of a similar gable now capped with lead. A door opening is situated between the first and second bays, featuring a moulded surround with a moulded 4-centred arch head and label, leading to a plank door.
