Description
Stocks is a house that dates from the 17th century and was altered in the 19th century. It is constructed of coursed and squared rubble and ashlar, topped with a double-Roman tiled roof and featuring two rendered stacks. The building has two storeys and is arranged in a 3:2 bay layout. The ground floor includes two and three-light stone-mullioned windows on the left side, as well as a single light opening in a freestone surround with a label. The first floor has three 20th-century two and three-light windows.
There is a central door opening framed by a moulded 4-centred head surround with a label, leading to a 20th-century plank door. To the right, there is a lower height outshut that contains a 20th-century casement window and a broad door opening with a ribbed door. Inside, the ground floor features a framed ceiling and a fireplace set in a moulded surround with a 4-centred arch head.
