Description

The Long House is a house dating from the 17th century, with alterations from the 18th century. It is constructed of rubble and features a double-Roman tile roof with brick stacks. The building has two storeys and is arranged in a 1:3 bay configuration. It includes 9-pane sash windows set in moulded freestone architraves, except for the second bay from the left, which has moulded 2 and 3-light stone-mullioned windows with a label on the ground floor. The door opening is framed by a stone surround and topped with a stone slab hood supported by cut stone brackets. The door itself is a 6-panelled design, with the top two panels being glazed.
