Description

The Brewers Arms is an early 19th-century inn located on the north side of Weymouth Road in Evercreech. The building is constructed of ashlar, with a concrete tile roof, a moulded cornice, and grooved end pilasters. It is three storeys high and comprises three bays. The late 20th-century casement windows have close-set glazing bars and wooden shutters. The central doorway features a semi-circular head, recessed panelled door, and an arched fanlight with radiating glazing bars. The painted stone doorcase includes an open pediment and sections of a triglyph entablature on grooved pilasters. Despite alterations in the 20th century, the building retains a good architectural composition.
