Description

The Old Bakery is a house dating from the 17th and 18th centuries, with some 19th and 20th century alterations. It is constructed of rubble, cob, and some brick, with a colourwashed exterior and a triple-Roman tile roof that is hipped to the left. A brick stack is also present. The house has two storeys and four bays. The first floor has three-light casement windows with leaded lights, which have been recently renewed. The ground floor has two and three-light casement windows. A door opening is located between the third and fourth bays, leading to a studded plank door, sheltered by a flat hood with lead capping supported by ornamental wrought-iron brackets, and approached by four stone steps. The interior retains features of interest, including ceiling beams, a fireplace, and a 17th century roof.
