Description
No. 41 Silver Street is a cottage dating from the 18th century. It is constructed from limestone rubble and features a pantile roof with stepped stone coping on the right gable end. The building has a single-unit plan and stands two storeys high. On the first floor, there is a central 3/3-pane sash window with a forward frame, set beneath a wooden lintel. The ground floor showcases an early 19th-century shop front, which includes panelled pilasters and a moulded cornice, with a set-back door to the left and a shop window featuring 4/4 square panes. To the right of the shop front, there is a passage leading to a lower, early 20th-century two-storey rubblestone rear wing that curves to the left (east) and has been altered. The interior has not been inspected.
