Description
Quartly House, Periwinkle, and Callaway is a terrace building from the early 19th century that originally contained a shop. It is constructed of red sandstone random rubble masonry with a slate roof and brick stacks. The central three bays, which originally housed the shop, are flanked by three symmetrical outer bays. The building is two stories high, with first-floor sash windows featuring glazing bars in the central three bays and blocked pointed windows above a round-headed doorway. This doorway is flanked by early 19th-century shop windows with five panes by five panes. The outer bays have pointed sash windows with divided tracery and square-headed doorways. All openings, except for the shop windows, feature raised cement surrounds, and all doors are from the 20th century.
