Description

Bay House is a house dating to around 1880. It is constructed of red sandstone random rubble with cement quoins, and has a slate roof and brick stacks. The house is two storeys high and arranged with three bays. The first floor has 12-pane sash windows, while the ground floor has 16-pane sash windows. All windows have rusticated cement surrounds. A central arched doorcase features good detailing, including fluted pilasters, fleurons on the imposts, and a moulded surround. Above the door is a fanlight with glazing bars. The entrance has a six-panel door with croisseted panels, similar detailing to the window reveals, and an 18th-century brass knocker.
