7/125 Obelisk, about 70 metres south of Dillington House -

GV II

Commemorative obelisk. Probably of circa 1840. Ham stone. Step base; moulded plinth, rectangular plan plain pedestal, the long faces recessed slightly towards corners, with carvings in these recesses; pedestal about one metre high, the obelisk another 2.5 metres high, having coat of arms carved on longer faces. Actual purpose unknown, but probably intended as a landscape feature for Dillington House (q.v.).
