Description
The obelisk, located 900 metres south-south-west of Seaton Delaval Hall, is a Grade II listed structure from the 18th century. It is made of good-quality squared stone and features a stepped base with a moulded plinth and cornice. The tall tapering shaft culminates in a pyramidal top, bringing the overall height to approximately 18 metres. This obelisk serves as an eye-catcher in the landscape.
