Description
The statue of Samson slaying the Philistine is located in the garden to the west of Seaton Delaval Hall. It dates from the early 18th century and is made of lead, standing on an ashlar plinth. The statue features life-size figures that are lightly draped. The base is panelled and includes a plinth and cornice. Originally, the statue was situated in the north-east corner bastion of the ha-ha.
