Description
The yard walls at Avenue Farm North are likely from the early 19th century. They are constructed from roughly-coursed stone with cut dressings. The walls feature a band at mid-height and a heavy arched coping, enclosing three yards in front of the shelter sheds. In the south-east corner of the central yard, there is a similar lower wall that encloses a pig-sty, and in the north-east corner, a circular stone water tank is built into the wall. These walls are included for their group value with the farm buildings.
