Description

This is a four-storey house with a shop, dated 1879. It is constructed of ashlar Doulting stone, with a slate roof and ashlar stacks. The architectural style is Italian Gothic. The building has three bays. The ground floor openings are modern. Above, there is a central tripartite window with segmental heads to each light, and single-light openings on either side. Similar fenestration is present on the second and third floors. All the central openings have elaborate decorative treatment, with panelled pilasters on either side. The building features a dentil eaves cornice. A central shaped gable is topped with a circular decorative frieze and urns on either side. The building is primarily listed for its group value.
