Description

No. 25 High Street is a bank built around 1880, designed in the Italianate style. The building features squared rubble brought to course with ashlar detailing. It stands three stories tall and has five bays on its main facade facing Paul Street. The ground floor is rusticated with square-headed window openings, which contain large 20th-century casements set in reveals. The upper floors have sash windows that are framed by moulded stone surrounds, each topped with individual cornices. Notably, the second window from the left has a segmental pediment above it.
