Description

These shops and houses, located at 24, 26, and 28 High Street, Shepton Mallet, date from the late 18th century. The building is constructed of Doulting ashlar, and the roof is not visible. The front of the building presents a classical design with three storeys and two bays. The windows are sash windows, with those on the second floor featuring glazing bars. The facade is emphasised by panelled pilasters. The ground floor has been altered with late 20th-century shopfronts. The building is primarily listed for its group value in conjunction with other buildings along High Street.
