Description

This range of farm buildings, located about 80 metres north-west of Yeabridge House, likely dates from the 19th century. Constructed from roughly cut and squared ham stone, the buildings feature a plain clay tiled roof with a stone slate base course and stepped stone gables. The layout is 'L'-shaped, with the west bay comprising three bays that have elliptical arches on the ground floor, although the arches in the first and second bays are mostly filled in. There is a 20th-century plain door to the left of the first bay and a loft door above the second bay. The south gable has a lower extension housing the cider mill, which includes a two-light window below and a loft door above. The north wing consists of two bays, featuring a tall elliptical arched doorway towards the west end and a throughway at the east end. The roofs are supported by scissor trusses, and there is an engine house in the form of a lean-to on the north side. This range is part of a significant complex of farm buildings from the 18th and 19th centuries.
