Description

This is an unidentified obelisk memorial located in the churchyard, approximately 16 meters south of the tower of the Church of St Andrew and St Mary. It dates from the 19th century and is made of red sandstone. The memorial is an undressed monolithic stone with filleted arrises, standing on a square rubble socket with broached corners, set on a one-stage calvary base. It is designed to resemble a medieval churchyard cross. The south side of the monument has an inscription, but only the word "children" is currently legible. The memorial stands about 3 meters high.
