Description

Shepherd's Farm House is an early 19th-century farmhouse located on Milborne Port Road in Charlton Horethorne. The building is constructed of local stone rubble with a Welsh slate roof, featuring coped gables and brick chimney stacks. It has a ā€œLā€ shape, with a four-bay East elevation, though the first bay may be a later addition. The East elevation has 16-pane sash windows set within voussoired flat arches. Bay 3 has a composite four-plus-twelve-plus-four pane window on the ground floor and a twelve-pane sash window above. The main entrance is located at the rear of the house, in the angle of the rear wing, which is of the same date. The interior has not been inspected.
