14/46 Nos 1 and 2 Langridge Cottages -

Farmhouse, now 2 dwellings, Dated 1648, divided probably when Higher Langridge Farmhouse (not included in this list) built and extended right, refenestrated late C19, reroofed late C20. Roughcast over rubble, concrete tile roofs, independently roofed lower wing right, external stack left gable end, large lateral stack to left of original entrance. 2 C20 flues on facade. Plan: 3-cell and cross passage facing south, single cell addition north-west corner, extended east end, Two storeys 2:1:2 bays, all Cl9 and C20 casements, squareheaded entrance, part glazed plank door to left of stack, gabled porch end bay right, plank door. Interior partially seen, stair inserted to rear of cross passage, plasterwork frieze of roses with date 1648 in ground floor room west gable end, covered by layers of wallpaper. East end cottage not seen but said in 1974 to contain 2 jointed cruck trusses. (VAG Report, unpublished SRO, February 1975 - Higher Langridge Farmhouse).
