Description
No 17, also known as Priory Close, is a building located on Canon Street, likely constructed in the early 19th century. It is one of two buildings that flank the entrance gates to the Priory, reflecting Gothic influences due to its proximity to the site. The building is two stories high and features a stucco front with two windows. At the gable, there is a castellated parapet with the date 1827 scratched into it. The windows are paired wood casements that include Gothic glazing bars. To the left, there is a pointed entrance set into the wall. Together with Nos 17 to 22 and the Priory, this building contributes to a cohesive architectural group.
