Description

Barton House is a three-storey building from the 18th century with a three-window red brick front. It features a hipped roof covered with old tiles. There is a sill band at the first floor and a string course at the ground floor. The windows are sashes with glazing bars set in painted reveals, and the upper windows have window-box rails. The entrance has a Tuscan doorcase with an open pediment, leading to a six-panel door. Barton House, along with Nos 17 to 22 and the Priory and Walls, forms a notable group.
