Description

No 8 on Middle Street is an early 19th-century building that stands three storeys tall, constructed of dark brick with a hipped slate roof. The façade features three windows, although the central one is blocked. The windows are fitted with sashes that include glazing bars, and red brick voussoirs accentuate the openings. A central round-headed doorway is adorned with a traceried fanlight and a six-panel door. This building is one of a pair with No 7, which flanks the approach to the Camelot Club. It is included in the listing for its group value, as it contributes to the character of the area alongside other listed buildings on the south side of Middle Street and Nos 15 Canon Street.
