Description

No. 26 East Street is a house dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of stucco with a stone plinth and stone sills, topped with a slate roof and featuring a tall brick chimney on the left gable end. The building has two storeys and is lower than the adjacent properties. It has a two-window range, with the first floor displaying 6/6-pane sash windows that have horns. On the ground floor, there is a single-pane sash window on the left and a 6-panel door with a margin-paned overlight towards the right. To the far right, there is a late 19th-century wide 4-panel door with an obscured overlight that leads to a passage and a door to an upper flat. The interior has not been inspected.
