Description

Nos. 11, 13, and 15 are three houses that have been converted into offices, built in the early 19th century. They are constructed from Ham Hill stone ashlar and feature a continuous slate roof with stepped stone copings and brick stacks at the gable ends and central party wall. The buildings have a double-depth plan and are two storeys high. They are designed as two symmetrical units with pilasters on the sides and center, each having a three-window range. All openings have stone lintels above them.

The offices on the left were originally two dwellings with central paired doors, each featuring two vertical panels and overlights with reeded lower rails. The unit on the right was one dwelling and now has a 20th-century shop front inserted to the right, which includes the original central door with an enlarged overlight. All other windows are 8/8-pane sashes.

The property also features subsidiary elements such as iron spearheaded railings on a low wall at the front. Attached to the left corner are substantial tall cast-iron double gates, with piers that are cast-iron trellises approximately 4 meters high. The left-hand pier is marked with "I SMITH BRASS AND IRON FOUNDERS 1849." The gates are positioned facing each other against the walls of a carriageway and have bases with large florettes set in open squares, a semicircular motif on the main shaft, and a cornice topped with a 19th-century palmette-style finial. An overthrow of twisted square section includes an empty square lamp-frame at the center, with scrolls on the center and sides.
