Description

These gate piers, gates, and walls form the entrance to the churchyard of the Unitarian Church, dating from 1913. The gate piers are constructed from rough ashlar Ham Hill stone, featuring plain square shafts, projecting moulded cornices, and plain square caps. Wrought-iron gates are present, with double gates to the west side of the churchyard and two single gates to the north, leading toward the schoolroom. The gates have long and short railings passing through crossed bars, and fleur-de-lys-style tops on the longer railings. One gate from the main entrance has been detached and lies on the ground. The churchyard is enclosed by walls built of limestone rubble, topped with Ham Hill stone copings.
