Description
Brock Farmhouse is a farmhouse that dates from the 16th century, with additions and alterations from the 17th century and further work in the 20th century. The building is rendered and features a double-Roman tile roof, which has a ridge in two sections of slightly different heights and coped verges, along with a brick stack on the left side.
The farmhouse has two storeys and is arranged in a 3:1 bay configuration. It includes 3-light casement windows, with the exception of two 3-light ovolo-moulded mullioned windows on the first floor and two 4-light ovolo-moulded mullioned windows on the ground floor. There is a door opening located between the first and second bays, featuring a 6-panelled door with the top two panels glazed, and an iron "tent" canopy hood supported by decorative wooden latticework.
On the left return, there is a pent roofed outshut that also has a double-Roman tile roof. The property is enclosed by a low rubble forecourt wall with plain coping and features a central 20th-century decorative wrought iron gate.
