Description
The Dolphins is a house dating from the early 19th century, constructed of painted rubble with a pantile roof, featuring coped verges and brick end stacks. It has a double pile plan and a symmetrical frontage. The building stands two storeys high and consists of three bays. The first floor has 16-pane flush mounted sash windows, while the ground floor features late 19th-century 2-light casements with glazing bars. There is a central door opening with a four-panelled door, the top two panels of which are glazed. A decorative iron and wood "trellis" porch and a metal "tent" canopy hood adorn the entrance. Inside, there are internal window shutters in the left and right ground floor rooms, with the right room containing a fireplace set in an early 19th-century surround with a register grate.
