Description

This barn, located about 3 meters east of Dunpole Farmhouse, dates from the 19th century and includes a cheesehouse. It is constructed of local stone rubble and features a half hipped double Roman clay tiled roof. The barn has two storeys and consists of eight bays supported by collar trusses. The east face has two full-height double doors, with a small door and a casement window to the left. There is a loft door on the north gable and a blocked wagon entry on the west elevation. The ground floor is used for storing chaff and roots, with a cheeseroom at the south end nearest the house. The first floor contains wooden sided bays for corn storage.
