Description
Side Hill Farmhouse is a farmhouse dated 1731. It is constructed of painted coursed and dressed rubble with a concrete double Roman tile roof and brick end stacks. The building has a "T"-plan and is divided into two halves, each two and a half storeys high.
On the left side, there are two bays featuring 20th-century three-light casements and a central doorway with an open bracketed pediment above a six-panel door, of which the upper two panels are glazed. The pediment partially obscures a datestone with the initials "L.I.S.", which are partially visible.
The lower wing on the right side also has two bays and includes two-light flat stone mullion windows with edge moulds. There is a cornice on the ground floor to the right, while the one to the left is blocked. The central datestone on this wing reads "L.I.S. 1731".
