Description
Cherry Farmhouse is a house that was formerly a farmhouse, dating from the 16th century, with alterations made in the 18th and 19th centuries. It is constructed of limestone rubble, which is partly dressed and coursed, and features double Roman tile roofs with end chimneys. The building has an "L" plan and is two storeys high, with blocked garrets. The facade has one bay on the left with 19th-century casements, while the right side features a 19th-century sash window on the ground floor, above a 2-light ovolo moulded mullion window in oak from the 17th century. There is a four-panel 19th-century door located at the angle with a 20th-century brick lean-to porch. The gable return to the right has two blocked garrets, one with a single light and the other with two lights, both having moulded heads. There is also a further lower bay to the left. Inside, there is a deep chamfered cross beam ceiling in the ground floor room to the left of the entrance.
