Description

Old Weavers Cottage and Treetops form a pair of cottages, dating to 1693, situated within a row. The construction is of random rubble, with clay pantile roofing and stone tiles along the eaves. Brick stacks are also present. Each cottage is two storeys high and one bay wide. They have ovolo moulded stone mullioned windows with three lights. A continuous string course runs above the window heads, broken on the ground floor by paired central door openings set within moulded stone surrounds. A 20th-century door is positioned on the right-hand side, while a mid-19th-century six-panelled, glazed door is on the left. A stone plaque is set between the two cottages, bearing raised stone letters reading "S.K.A. 1693."
