Description

Two chest tombs from the early 17th century are located in the churchyard, 8 metres southwest of the Church of St John the Baptist. The first tomb is dedicated to John Wolcot, who died in 1618, and his mother, who died in 1637. It is made of ashlar stone and features a moulded cornice and a flat top, with an inscription on the south side that is barely legible. The second tomb is also from the early 17th century and is made of ashlar stone as well. It has a moulded cornice with a hipped top, arcaded ends with decorative spandrels, and Corinthian pilasters at the centre and ends of the sides.
