Description
This is an unidentified chest tomb from the 18th century located about 11 meters south of the nave of the Church of St. Vigor in Stratton-on-the-Fosse. It is made of dressed stone and features a buried plinth. The tomb has an oblong shape with carved corner pilasters and a central pilaster on both the north and south sides. It includes a moulded frieze and a damaged hipped slab top that is moulded around its lower edge. The inscriptions on the tomb are significantly decayed.
