Description

This is an unknown chest tomb located in the churchyard about 20 meters south of the south porch of the Church of St Mary the Virgin. It dates from the 18th century and is made of dressed stone. The tomb features a moulded plinth and fluted pilasters, with a decorative scrolly cartouche on each face, which originally had an inscription that is now largely decayed. The top of the tomb is a slab that has a cavetto moulding around its lower edge.
