Description

Nos 49 to 51 on Hungate are early 19th-century buildings that stand two storeys tall, constructed from brick and topped with a pantile roof. They feature three brick stacks and a coped gable end with a kneeler. The façade includes three windows with brick voussoirs, and the windows are hung sashes with glazing bars. The ground floor has a shop front with plain pilasters and two hung sash windows with glazing bars, alongside two modern doors and a four-panel door. These buildings are part of a group that includes Nos 29 to 31, the Pickering United Reformed Church, and the railings and gates in the courtyard, as well as Nos 33 to 47 and Nos 49 to 52.
