Description
No. 8 Hall Garth is a mid to late 19th century house that stands three storeys tall, built from red brick with a Welsh slate roof and stucco decorations. The building features three attic casement windows with stucco surrounds and cornices, which are connected by bands. On the first floor, there are three windows framed with surrounds that have triple keystones on the outer windows, while the center window is topped with a segmental pediment. There are bands at the cills and between the storeys. The ground floor has two windows with heavy cornice lintels supported by brackets and triple keystones. The doorway has a rusticated surround and a keystone, with a four-panel door and a rectangular fanlight, accessed by steps. This house is part of a group that includes Nos. 1 to 3 (consecutive), The Horse Shoe Public House, Nos. 5 to 13 (consecutive) Ivyleigh, No. 15, and Nos. 16 to 22 (consecutive), with Nos. 1 to 3 and Nos. 5 and 6 being of local interest.
