Description
The farm buildings located approximately eighteen metres south-east of Kirby Hall Farmhouse consist of a threshing barn and horse-engine house, along with cart and shelter sheds that have lofts. There are also attached ranges of byres, stables, and loose boxes at the rear. These structures are built from 19th-century brownish mottled brick in English garden wall bond and feature a pantile roof. The buildings create a rectangular foldyard, which was originally roofed. The barn range is two stories high and has seven bays. In the centre, there is a polygonal horse-engine house with partly blocked openings. To the right, there are three elliptical cart arches, while the openings to the left are partly obscured by external buildings. The loft openings are paired and feature tall round-headed lights. This site is included for its group value.
