Description

KIRBY HALL THORPE GREEN LANE SE 4460-4560 (south side, off) 10/39 Farmbuildings approxi- mately eighteen metres south-east of Kirby Hall Farmhouse GV II Threshing barn and horse-engine house, cart and shelter sheds with lofts; attached ranges of byres, stables and loose boxes at rear. Hid C19 Brownish mottled brick in English garden wall bond, with pantile roof. Buildings form rectangular foldyard, originally roofed. 2-storey, 7-bay barn range. Polygonal horse-engine house with partly blocked openings, projects in centre. Three elliptical cart arches to right. Openings to left partly obscured by external buildings. Loft openings are paired, tall round- headed lights. Included for group value.
