Description

This is a cottage, potentially dating from the 16th century. It is timber-framed, with exposed close studding and arch braces visible on the first floor of the front elevation. The ground floor front is covered in roughcast, while the sides and rear are cased in reddish-brown brick. A wall plate is exposed on the south wall, and the roof is covered with steep pantiles, featuring a chimney on the south gable end. The cottage is two storeys high and has an outshot to the rear. It has undergone heavy restoration. A low, central entrance now has a 20th-century door, and the windows are also 20th-century replacements. A few original timbers are visible inside.
