Description

This building is a row of three attached houses, with the central house functioning as a Post Office and shop. It dates from the late 18th century and has been altered in the 19th and 20th centuries. The structure is made of rendered brick and has a pantile roof. It is two storeys high and features six first-floor windows, with the house to the right being lower. The doors on the left and center are six-panel designs, while the door on the right is a 20th-century addition. The left and right doors have overlights, and the central door has a blocked fanlight. All three doors are framed by doorcases that have fluted pilasters, a plain entablature, and a cornice. The central door is flanked by 20th-century bow windows for the shop. The remaining ground and first-floor windows are four-pane sashes set in flush wood architraves. There is a small square opening with a ventilator above the left door. A string course runs at first-floor level, and there is a dentilled eaves cornice. The left-hand portion has raised verges with coping. Ridge stacks are located at the left gable, the right gable of the central property, above the door, and at the right gable of the right-hand portion. The interiors have not been inspected.
