Description
Keepers Cottage is a house dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of brown brick and features a stone slate roof. The central part of the building is two storeys high and has three bays, with slightly recessed, lower two-storey wings on either side, each with one bay. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door, with the top two panels being glazed, framed by a plain wooden doorcase that has a cornice. The windows are sash style, set in flush wood architraves, with gauged brick flat arches; the central range has 16 panes in each window, while the wings have 12 panes. The main range has multi-flued gable stacks, and the side wings are topped with hipped roofs. The interior is mostly from the 20th century and includes three cast-iron fire grates in the first-floor rooms.
