Description
There are two gate piers located on the north side of Old Thornville, possibly dating from the 17th century. They are constructed from brick, cobble, and ashlar. The piers feature square-section brick shafts that are decorated with sunken square panels filled with cobbles. Each pier is topped with ashlar capping and ball finials. The materials used may have been re-used from other structures.
