7/155 Padside Cottage approximately 20 metres south of Padside Hall

GV II

House. Mid-late C17. Coursed squared gritstone, graduated stone slate roof. 2 storeys, 2 bays. Quoins. Central entrance, door missing has chamfered quoined jambs and shallow 4-centred arch to lintel. Recessed- chamfered mullion windows throughout; of 3 and 4 lights flanking entrance; on first-floor of 3 lights but each with one mullion removed and the lintel replaced by a flat-faced stone. Shaped kneelers, gable coping, end stack right. Right return: alterations to roof line suggest that the building has been extended at the rear. Interior not inspected. Derelict at time of resurvey.
