Description

Scarah Bridge is a bridge over Thornton Beck, built in the late 18th century. It is constructed from coursed squared gritstone. The bridge features a central segmental arch with lower side arches, all of which have recessed voussoirs. Triangular cutwaters are present, and the parapet projects slightly, made of large blocks with horizontal tooling and rounded coping. The bridge crosses the boundary with Ripley parish.
