Description

The bridge over Thornton Beck in Bishop Thornton is a Grade II listed structure from the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed of gritstone and features a single span. The voussoirs are adorned with rock-cut rustication beneath a projecting band at road level. Above this band, the masonry is smooth, and the bridge has rounded coping with circular bollards at the ends of the parapet.
