Description
Mill House is a 17th-century building that was largely rebuilt in the early 19th century. It is constructed of tooled gritstone and features a stone slate roof. The house has two storeys and three first-floor windows. A central 20th-century glazed door is set within a sawn-stone surround. The flanking and first-floor windows have 20th-century frames and sawn-stone surrounds with projecting sills. The window on the right side of the ground floor has been lowered to accommodate a French window. There are end stacks, with the one on the left heightened to rise above the ridge of the attached mill range. At the rear, outshuts were added in the early 19th century, which include 20th-century windows and dormers. The right return shows the remains of a projecting stone stack. This building is included for its group value.
