Description
Number 46 and the attached outbuilding are a house and outbuilding built in 1833, commissioned by the Wykeham estate. The structure is made of squared sandstone and features a pantile roof with rebuilt brick stacks. It has a 2-cell, direct-entry plan and is 2 stories tall with a 2-window front, while the single-storey outbuilding is located to the right. The off-centre plank door is situated beneath a datestone inscribed with "BURTON TERRACE 1833."
The windows throughout are 2-light, 8-pane horizontal-sliding sashes, and all openings have thin timber lintels. There are end stacks on the house, and the outbuilding features a square shuttered opening with a thin timber lintel. This property is included for its group value.
