Description

Number 65 and attached outbuildings is a house and outbuilding built in 1846, as indicated by the datestone, and underwent modernisation in the 20th century. It was constructed for the Wykeham estate using dressed sandstone with a pantile roof and rebuilt brick stacks. The building features a central-staircase plan that is one and a half rooms deep.

The front elevation is two storeys high with two windows, and there is a single-storey, single-window section to the left. The central entrance has a 20th-century board door with an overlight, situated beneath the datestone inscribed "MDL 1846". There are end stacks on either side of the building. On the left side, there is a plank door with a two-light horizontal-sliding sash window to the left, along with a shuttered pitching opening above. All openings have heavy lintels. At the rear, there are two-light, 24-pane horizontal-sliding sash windows.
