Description
Groom's Cottage is a house located approximately 20 metres northeast of Wrelton Hall. It was built in the early 19th century, with later alterations and an extension added in the 19th century. The cottage is constructed from dressed limestone and features a pantile roof with brick stacks. It has a central-entry plan, is one room deep, and includes an outshut. The front of the building is two storeys high and has two windows. There are board doors at the centre and at the end to the right. The windows are 2-light, 12-pane horizontal-sliding sashes without sills, and all openings have timber lintels. The gables are coped, and there are shaped kneelers and end stacks. The cottage is included for its group value.
